Reverend Paul Dinakaran has woven a rich tapestry of education and ministry. His academic journey includes United Mission High School, Bangalore, Fort high school, B.A. at BES College, Jayanagar, Bangalore, followed by an M.A. in History from Mysore University. He completed B.D. at KTC, Mangalore, and currently pursues an M.A. in Philosophy and Theology at the Centre for Theological Leadership in the Cayman Islands. Ordained as a Deacon on June 25, 1995, and as a Presbyter on October 3, 1996, His commitment and proficiency in Christian Ministry were acknowledged with an award from the Senate of Serampore in 1995. He holds a counseling certificate from Prajna Counselling Centre, Mangalore.
Reverend Paul Dinakaran as a Deacon served in various congregations, including CSI Bishop Gill Church, Tumkur, CSI Wesley Church, Tumkur, CSI St. Peter’s Kannada Church, CSI Christ Church, Chickballapur, and as Chaplain at CSI Mission Hospital, Chickballapur. Reverend Paul continued to contribute significantly to different congregations. His service included leadership at CSI Christ Church, Chickballapur, and CSI Doddaballapur Pastorates, which consist of Sumithra Memorial Church, CSI Town Church, and Arehalli Pastorate. He further served at CSI St. Stephen’s Church, a multilingual Church, CSI Christha Prabhalaya Church, CSI Hudson Memorial Church, and held the position of Director at CSI Retreat Centre, Kodaikanal.
His extensive pastoral experience also involves roles such as Associate Presbyter at Rice Memorial Church, and leadership positions in CSI Covenant Church, CSI Yesukrupalaya Church, CSI Bharathnagar Church, CSI Hudson Memorial Church, CSI St. Stephen’s Church, and presently, he serves at CSI Grace Memorial.
As the Area Chairman, he holds memberships in various committees and educational institutions within the Diocese, including the Executive Committee and all Standing Committees. He has been a longstanding member of the Inter Diocesan Administrative, Finance & Property Board, contributing for multiple terms. Additionally, he served on the Working Committee and Executive Committee of the KACES/KTC for several terms. Currently, he represents the Karnataka Central Diocese as a Board Member and Bangalore Zonal Member in the All Karnataka United Christian Forum for Human Rights. Furthermore, he holds the position of Chairman in the Karnataka Chapter of the Scripture Union.
