Rev. Dr. Sathyaraju William Jones, a dedicated ordained minister in the Karnataka Central Diocese (KCD) for the past 26 years, traces his roots back to CSI-Wesley Church in Tumkur. As the son of the Late Rev. M. Sathyaraju, he proudly continues the pastoral legacy within his family as the 9th Pastor. Rev. Dr. S. William Jones has a solid academic foundation, having completed his Bachelor of Arts at Siddaganga College in Tumkur.
His theological journey led him to Karnataka Theological College in Mangalore, where he earned a Bachelor of Divinity degree. Continuing his pursuit of knowledge, he achieved his M.Th from St. Peter's Pontifical Institute and subsequently obtained a Doctorate in Biblical Theology. His academic achievements are complemented by his keen interest in exploring various historical church traditions.
Over the years, he has honed the ability to engage with contextual ministry, continually improving his skills in this regard. Beyond his academic pursuits, Rev. Dr. S.William Jones has actively contributed to the community. He served as the Director for the Department of Minority Rights and Political Concerns, playing a crucial role in advocating for minority rights. Moreover, his dedication to education is evident in his efforts to help students from congregations secure Higher Education Scholarships with support from the Karnataka Minority Development Corporation (KMDC).
Rev. Dr. Jones has displayed leadership within the church, serving twice as the Director for the Church Extension Committee (CEC) in the Diocese. Through his multifaceted contributions, both in academia and community service, Rev. Dr. S. William Jones stands as a testament to the intersection of faith, education, and social advocacy within the ministry.
